Recording a Judicial Committee Hearing

i was reading the thread about hoboken's jc meeting and started thinking about the rule prohibiting recording devices in such meetings.

has anyone on the board tried to challenge this rule?.

on its face, the rule is absurd.

You could lie and tell them "no, Im not recording this" and still not be doing wrong according to them! The organization has stated on numerous ocassions that it is not wrong to lie to someone who is not entitled to the truth, have they not and I do not think Lynch mob, inquisition participants are the least bit entitled to it! Wow, I finally agree with the WTS on something! as long as your conducting spiritual warefare......well your in a situation that involves spiritual warfare........just on the other side. I don't really think it's OK to lie and would never show up to the absurd thing, but if you choose to, please record it so that we can all hear it!

Wife attending DC today.....

my wife is attending the dc today.

i know she will be all dubbed up when she gets home tonight and i was wondering if there are any comments or questions i can ask or is there anything i should be ready to respond to based on her attending.

i know that the theme is "keep on the watch", i have listened to the audio that auntbee so kindly provided and from what it seems to me, they are merely driving home the point that folks need to be more faithful in there service because even though we do not know when the end it, it is so very very close.

my mother just recieved the new book today from her parents address and it didn't even have a note in it. I guess its there way of saying read this you dead mother :::::} If you love her I wouldnt say anything and if she starts about the end of time ,which more than just jws believe is close say you know, maybey it is but you know hon, Im not scared are you??? This always takes them aback, fear of the end is what drives them and when she shows you somehow how afraid she is, That to me is a great opprotunity to without a word spoken, show her who has faith!

Thanks for the warm welcome Betsy.....you are entitled to your opinion and unlike the jws I get no greater reward for recruits so join with me or not I really don't care. please don't take everything i say so personaly...I too was raised a JW with a PO father... but I gained both my father and my mother to Christ.....no small feat

to the student of ignorance and fear mongering : regarding your proclamation of the end times.. the point is the select signs of the times of the gt as written in the bible could be placed well in any moment of human history.

for last 2000 years and even be placed with greater accuracy in the middle ages, so when someone reads information from apocalyptic religious.

cults like the jws who are trying to superimpose fear into people so they will react in the way they want them to react, hence it pays to analise.

Bible student dont take it so hard, i know that you are a student of the word just take it a little slower....im glad you still love the Lord, some do not when they leave the org.....what you need is a fresh start and this I think is what you need to do, speaking from experience, if you have doubt.... let it all go, start over! when you clean your home you dont throw out the chairs the table fridge and such.....you clean out the trash, in this case the trash is everything that the wts has taught you!!! Do you know who God is independantly from the wts? Who is Babylon i mean really its called mystery babylon for a reason, Christ own will think it a mystery and will be surprised or he would not have called it a mystery.....Think you have figured it out well think again....dont you think he would have said something like he did about the romans in jeresulem about the discusting thing that causes a desolation (to the reader use disearnment) but he did not! its a mystery! will be till the Glory! About the 144,000 read rev. 7:4 (and i heard the number of those that were sealed. One hundred and fourty four thousand of all THE TRIBES OF THE CHILDREN OF ISREAL. This is to be figurative while the number is to be taken litteraly. no if you look to Rev. 14:4 the latter part they are the first fruits and Jesus did come to these first (the jews). the great crowd however are also mentioned and these are the gentiles (all tribes and tounges) as spoken of in rev7:9. There has been much said by the wts about these ones remaining on earth but bible student please read Rev 19:1 (after these things i saw a great crowd IN HEAVEN saying) did you get that........where was the great crowd???? Are you a Bible student or a student of the wts?? This is all for another post and im sure i'll be ridiculed by the wtf and the atheist alike! The answers are their but its not all the depressing doom and gloom that your speaking!

Then the watchtower has succeded in what i think is its main goal and has been since russell.......tear down the body of Christ...

I dont think that you need to turn to an organized religion jeff nor did I say it!!! thats what is meant by Jesus being a personal savior not the Church

and to clarify what I was speaking about that seemed to go over the heads of some...i was speaking of salvation....if you are an atheist then probably you do not believe in an afterlife or salvation.... or do you because it seems to have struck a chord! At some point you must have had a form of devotion to have subjected yourselves to the social and mental torture that is involved with being a JW. sorry all that is gone due to the abuse of the fds! it reminds me of a battered woman that cannot ever be in a relationship with another man due the the behavior of one man..........

i wanted to make just a thread for this statement of mind control as it was very blatant .

.............But notice that as a wts follower you are required to take a vow before baptisim.......and if you pay close attention to this vow you are being baptised into the wts. I don't know the exact formula but it goes something like this.........do you understand that your vow is to jehovah, his son and the spirit directed organization........notice the Holy spirit is replaced by the organization.....the organization replaces jesus as mediator........and everything they say is as if it were Jehovah himself..........you vow to serve them. This is always followed up by an energetic Yes!!! My father served as an elder when I was younger and he just recently told me a story of an elders meeting that he attended after a convention. The speaker held up a black bible and asked all the elders what color it was they all said black. ....but then the speaker said If mother (the organization)says its yellow....its yellow. everyone started clapping and my father said he never felt as uncomfortable as he did right then. The point is this, no other religion that i am aware of uses such a formula for baptisim. I am close to getting rebaptized at the Baptist Church because I feel my last baptisim was unholy in nature and did not cleanse nor did it make me a new creature in Christ....no books to study this time just one question to answer....do you belive that jesus is the son of god that he died for your sins and mine was raised on the third day and have you accepted him as your personal savior......YES YES YES! I attended one of the baptisims and as each person is dunked the person baptising says in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit....all one name (not names plurall) Jesus the same name we pray in...I pity those that swear allegiance to that group of men.

their records show that when a person is suspended with their hands over their head, as they would be on the jw "torture stake," they can survive for approximately one hour.

if their feet are tied down, as well, the time is reduced to about 15 minutes.. .

This begs an answer, if jesus carried the pole up the mountain was their a hole their alredy to set in in or did he have to dig it..........if you have ever spent time digging holes in rocky soil it would make most sense that a stationary pole was there already otherwise someone would have to carry the heavy pole back down the hill for the next crux...........THINK reinna THINK

If one still values Christian faith, it is the Bible and not an organization that determines who is and is not an "apostate." Unfortunately, many XJWs have abandoned all faith in God and the Bible

I could not agree with this statement more. it amazes me that many on this forum went from being in the watchtower ,albeit wrong but devout cult to atheist ,agnostic, some even blasphemously mocking God himself! just look at somes choice of Avatars. I am not apostate nor will I ever accept such a title willingly. I love Jesus and accept Him alone as my personal Savior! Screw the Watchtower cult and all their lies, but i'll never turn my back on God or willingly work against his will and that my friends is the true definition of apostate! To the atheist, agnostics satan worshippers and such.......It is the testimony that the Holy Spirit never resided in the organization or in themselves because once one has known Him very few turn away! You may sin and fall short of the Glory that christ has...we all do.....but to deny its existence after you become aquainted is according to scripture unforgivable!
